STORY

Founder Ange Marotta loves sharing yoga online.
After growing up in the country and then becoming an established yoga teacher in Melbourne’s boutique studios, Ange wants to now share her in studio teaching as a flexible online offering.

Ange has found that it’s a great way to offer a more inclusive-style to the practice, where there’s no pretences or studio etiquette, no need to be anything other than yourself. With online yoga at home, you can be guided by your breath and your body to create a sense of greater awareness and understanding towards oneself.

WHAT IS VINYASA YOGA? 

Vinyasa yoga can be best described as a series of postures and movement linked together with the breath. Vinyasa is a dynamic practice that gives you the feeling of flow, whilst also lifting the heart rate and working up a sweat.

“Vinyasa for me is like a moving meditation, focusing on the breath while you seamlessly move through the dynamic practice.” – Ange 

In Sanskrit the term Vinyasa is derived from ‘Nyasa’ meaning ‘to place’ and ‘vi’ meaning ‘in a special way’. This means Vinyasa yoga is a practice where you place your body, mind and breath in a purposeful way, taking the time to move mindfully and connect within.

This practice of yoga encourages self-reflection and mindfulness through breathing, moving
and connecting to yourself.
